Guess what I got today?

No, really, guess. There are two clues in this entry.

edit: Yep! Not *completely* new, but I got a good price on a nice quality used bike. The rear tire is just barely starting to go bald and the guy at the shop was out of the tire size so I'll be popping by this weekend to have that fixed; I just can't do any long distance/intense riding until then. It's purple. The top bar is higher than I'm used to but it rides incredibly smoothly.

And I bought a lock over the summer. I remembered the combo, I really did. But when it didn't work, I freaked out thinking that either I set it wrong or completely forgot. (Turns out it was just sticky, but I didn't figure that out overly early on.)

Oh, this evening around 8:30 I was walking across campus, and saw a couple of flashes in my peripheral vision. My first thought was "dammit, not a migraine coming on." Then I realized that they didn't move as my eyes did.

Fireflies.

Why I haven't seen them here before is anyone's guess.
