Yeah...there's no way they'd let me in, even if I wanted to do it. 1) I've been overseas in a third world country fairly recently. 2) I don't weight enough. 3) I know I don't get enough iron. I don't even know what foods have iron in them. Greeny, leafy ones? That would be why I don't get enough iron then...
~Red meat and liver ~Oysters, scallops, shrimps and clams (ew.) ~Dark, leafy green vegetables ~Raisins, dates and nuts ~Whole grain breads and rice ~Potatoes and beans
And fruit (especially citrus fruit) helps your body absorb iron.
I had low iron for years. Vitamin C helps your body absorb iron. Spinich is supposed to be great.
What solved my problem with anemia was cooking in cast iron as much as possible. Small amounts of iron will leech into the food and will keep your levels nice and healthy!
