HELP!!!

My Evil Aunt (tm) is going to be spending two (possibly three) nights here. As in, In. My. HOUSE. Eating my food, breathing my air, not shutting up.

And to make matters worse, those are the days I *can't* escape. Her first day here is Monday, when I'm having that mole removed. So now not only am I going to be laying on my stomach, balancing an icepack on my ass, and bending my neck out of line so I can use the computer, but I'll have her poking at me, invading my personal space, comparing my butt to the last specimen she dissected in one of her classes, talking about the time she trapped a mole in the backyard and generally being the frellnik she is. At least Laura can spend a few nights at a friend's. Me?

Maybe I can get a couple of Valium at the dermatologist's office.

The Valium sounds like a good idea.

My mom's getting in today. I love her dearly, but in small doses. Luckily, I still have a couple of school projects due that I can use as an excuse to get away.

Well you can choose your friends, but you can't choose your relatives...

If she's really having a go at you, try explaining that you need to be allowed to rest alone due to having the mole removed, and although you're doing your best to be as polite as possible, it's actually starting to hurt a bit, so would she mind most awfully giving you just a tiny bit of room to relax. :)

Oh hoh. That's the problem, though. She just. doesn't. give a damn. And that's if you can get a word in edgewise. Hell, she was cussing out my grandmother (yeah, her mom) and it took my dad three tries to get the entire phrase "shut up, bitch" out. (Kudos to him for finally starting to stand up to her.)

One good way to amuse yourself with irritating relatives is to make up outrageous stories about your life and see how long you can keep relative believing them.

Naah, that's what I'm saving the rat poison for. (kidding, unfortunately.) The Valium's for me. It's like in Peacekeeper Wars, when Chiana says "OK, we're gonna need (name of some drink I can't remember). Lots of it." Crichton fetches it, gives it to Aeryn, and Chi plucks it out of her hands and drinks it all in one gulp.

Anyway. I'd have fun with that if I could get a word in edgewise.

I think that using the mole removal as an excuse is the best idea. I could say what I would do in that situation, but the FBI would come knocking on my door with a warrant.

I'm thinking a nice, frank "shut up, bitch" is about all I'd be able to get through. (It worked for my dad a couple days ago, when she was cussing Grandma out for her memory problems...) This woman does not let anybody get a word in edgewise. Otherwise? I would *so* play my injury up. Instead, I'm going to be relying on my iPod and its rather temperamental battery. (There's been a class action suit about iPod batteries, apparently. So I'm getting the faulty battery replaced sometime this summer... but I digress.)
