hopefulnebulaGood news: surgery went well. Bad news: Sue's in.
Had a funny conversation about a minute ago, and thought I'd share before laying down for a while. Laura finally bothered to bring the ice packs down from her bedroom but they're not frozen yet, so I used a bag of frozen peas for a while and now I'm on corn. Anyway, this happened while I was switching them out.
Me: *rummages through freezer* Mom, is there anything I can use for an ice pack in here?
Mom: *rummages with me* I know there has to be something else in here.
Me: *notices the corn* Ooh, perfect. Corn.
Dad: Eew. I bought that to eat, not to use as an ice pack.
Me: Dad, it's never been opened. I don't think it'll get contaminated.
Dad: But it'll thaw!
Me: *blinkblink*
Sue: *starts on about the states of matter*
Me: *is actually thankful she's here so I have the opportunity to escape*
