Jun. 20th, 2006 01:36 pmThree things have happened so far today.
1) Dermo appointment. It's standard for me to go there anywhere from once to four times a year (for the past three years it's been every three months) because I have so damn many moles. Well, I didn't like the look of one, and neither did the dermo. So she said " Since it's as small as it is, I can take it out today if you want." Since I had time, and since it's really hard to get an appointment at this place... I wanted. So I am now sporting two stitches on the back of my left knee. Which is the same knee that I (think I) strained last month. But this is the third (potentially) bad mole in three years. Will my skin cut it out already?
2) Dentist appointment. I've known this dentist since before I had teeth, and he's a great guy. The staff are also wonderful, and one of them was back after going back to school. Hadn't seen her in a few years. So that was good. And, no cavities, as usual. :)
3) I dyed my hand blue. Well, I didn't. One of the icepacks I've been keeping on the stitches mentioned in item 1 started leaking. I'm just glad it got on my hand instead of my pants... Hands are much easier to clean. It's mostly faded, though.
edit: Also one of my heels. Yay. I'm not going to use the good soap that gets rid of everything on that, so I'll get it when I shower tonight. It's not spreading onto anything else, anyway.
Random "stuff around town" updates for Tianna and anyone else who cares:
~The Carolina Hurricanes beat out Edmonton and won the Stanley Cup last night. Their goaltender, Cam Ward, won the Conn Smythe.
i_wanna_puck has gone wild. (Ward's 22 years old right now--that's only 2 years older than me. Last rookie goalie who logged a shutout in the playoffs was Patrick Roy in 1986.) Edmonton put up a hell of a fight, though. They're the only eighth-seeded team to make it to the finals. Ever. (And that's eighth in the conference. Fourteenth in the league.) And they lasted seven games, kicked some serious butt throughout the series. They have nothing to be ashamed of. But, this is the first time since 2001 that the team I rooted for in the finals actually won. So I'm happy. (Would have been either way, really.)
~Joe Sakic is for sure staying with the Avs for another year. He was due for free agency this summer.
~Jose Theodore is really no replacement for David Aebischer. And he has horrible taste in women, too.
~The Tattered Cover's moving out of their Cherry Creek location this week (*waaaaaaaaaah*), and moving to the old Lowenstein Theatre out by East High School. We should go scope out the place when you're back, and see if we can catch a moving sale.
