Greetings, puny mortals!
Aug. 21st, 2004 05:39 pmI forgot to mention a couple things in my last entry. We had a massive rainstorm a few days ago. Lasted all night. No hail, just flooding. At one point, the water in a neighborhood downtown (b/c Denver's the lowest point in the area) was up to car handles. I think the reason the storm stayed in the same place so long was because we got some westbound wind from Charley.
Ummm... there was something else. Damned if I can remember right now. Did I mention I'm having a mole removed on Tuesday? Fun stuff. Nothing new for me... I'm so covered in moles that PETA's trying to find a way to preserve me. :P
Went to say good-bye to a friend of Mom's today. Her husband got a job transfer to Sacramento so they had to move. They're good people. We stopped by Borders afterwards. I bought a couple of plays I'd been meaning to get, a CD for me (I Am Sam soundtrack) and one for Mom, whose birthday's coming up. (It's the De-Lovely soundtrack because she really likes Cole Porter and there are some good singers on it.)
OK, is dinnertime. The take-n-bake pizza Mom bought ended up blooming. It had lumps reminiscent of the hills in the Shire for a while there.

The Shire
Date: 2004-08-22 03:37 am (UTC)As for your "Hills of the Shire," it wasn't the first, and it won't be the last.
Oh, don't read so much that you miss your ride to college! j/k
