First off, big honking thanks to [livejournal.com profile] groovekittie for making my new layout! Gorgeous, isn't it? I also did an icon purge. Took off a few that I rarely used and replaced them with some others.

We shipped the last of my stuff today. Now all I have to do is sort my CDs and pack my bags. This still feels rather surreal. Although having my mole removed tomorrow is going to be foremost on my mind for a while. It shouldn't be too much of a hindrance but getting the stitches out will be a pain. Of course, Pat's certified to do that, so she might be able to. Depends on when they're supposed to come out.

Anway, that's about it for now. Dad's watching the same dinosaur documentary that Laura adored when she was little.

Ooh, I just thought about another link I can add to my links list...

stiches

Can't you just request the stitches that dissolve on their own? That would save you a lot of time and effort.

If you think that sending your stuff somewhere else is surreal, just wait until you get to the college dorm. Of course, moving was never a problem with me (done it quite a few times before), but still.

At least I have the run of the house for most of the daylight hours this week.

You want to hear the story of how I got those stitches (semi-embarresed blush)?

I also have YIM and MSN, but you likely don't have either one of those yet if you don't have AIM.

I cut my right thumb pretty deeply on a can lid while I was cooking a few years back (when I was living in the Tri-Cities before). The blood was coming out so thick that it might as well have been gravy. Luckily for me, there was a nurse in the appartment complex that we were living in at the time, and she was able to bandage it well enough to get me to a local clinic where I had the stiches put in. I'm pretty sure that they were the dissolving kind. You can still see the scar on my right thumb, as well as another scar (I don't remember how I got it on my right hand (lower right part of hand).
