Because I'm bored...

I forgot to mention that Dad saw a big old fox in the backyard yesteray (we usually don't get them during the day) and Laura saw one this morning. Needless to say, the cat's been going nuts trying to figure out why she has to stay inside all day.

Next, I'm bored so I'm going to type up the list of things I need to get in Kentucky. No real reason. Just because.


3M hooks
lighting--I'd adore a fiberoptic "fuzzy lamp"
Swiffer/Clorox/etc. wipes
camera
hangers
poster sticky gum stuff because we're not allowed to put thumbtacks in the walls
surge protector/s
extension cords
pens (one can never have too many)
bike (maybe)
Ziploc bags
Gladware stuff
paper goods, esp. towels
a few more hand/hair towels
quarters=clean laundry
sunscreen
bug spray
sneakers
laundry soap
posters and stuff
glasses wipes (for anything that just needs some dirt taken off)
small vacuum cleaner (one of the very few things my roommate does NOT have)
stamps (maybe. I can get them on an "as-needed" basis at the post office...)
batteries
various munchies
seabreeze (an astringent that's one of the few things that helps my dandruff)
TV antenna (have to have a way to watch UPN out there...)
That's all I can think of right now.

I hate to burst your bubble, but Danville is far enough away from Lexington that you can't get UPN through the antenna...I live less than half an hour away, and I can't get it. Unless you have cable with UPN, you're pretty much stuck.

HOWEVER, Danville's network for your computer should be pretty good and you should be able to download it...and I don't think it's illegal, since it's not been licenced for distribution. Suprnova has pretty good Enterprise eps...that's the only way I've been able to watch it, especially since school let out last year. (EKU has UPN on cable.)

I know some Centre people who get UPN... must remember to ask them about it.

I'd think that Centre should have cable in the dorms...I think most of the state universities do down here.

Hehe, it's true, we do have cable, sadly. I'm already on campus and, coincidentally, just did my Wal-Mart didn't-bring-with-me supply run.

Y'know, I'll prolly be downloadin' all the Sci-Fi shows offa Suprnova and puttin' 'em on my DC++ for your downloading pleasure.

As long as I get my weekly Enterprise fix, I'm happy. If the fourth season is like the second, that won't last very long, though. :P

Ahhh yes, the good old poster sticky gum stuff. I too had to use that in college, but my posters were all rather large and had a tendency to fall down after a while, especially in the middle of the night. :P

*dies laughing* Sounds like fun. Considering that we have to pay out of pocket for any dorm expenses incurred (including holes in the wall or peeled paint) it's worth the inconvenience...
