Just auditioned for choir.
Sep. 5th, 2005 09:11 pmWell, I really did a couple hours ago, but I had some reading to do afterward. I know I'm in Women's Voices for sure, and I hear back about Centre Singers (as well as my "official" voice part) on Wednesday at noon.
I say "official" voice part for a reason, too. But I'll get to that.
Anyway, Best. Audition. EVER. Sight reading could have used work but I managed, much better than last year. But where I really shined was the range test. I got two full octaves without even feeling uncomfortable. Two octaves. Just... whoa. Thus the "official" voice part. As Dr. Hall says, I'm the kind of person she likes to tell "OK, how about you sing alto in this one, Sop2 in this one...". So she doesn't know where to place me officially.
But damn, I hope I get into Centre Singers.
Also, my chair is very slowly falling apart under me. I really should speak with the RA bout that.
