Oh... part n+1 of the DMV saga came through yesterday.

There is absolutely no way they'll let me renew my ID without being there in person. Since there's no way in every single Hell in the universe that that's gonna happen, I'm gonna be getting myself a Kentucky state ID. Good thing is, the courthouse is just a few blocks away and it's rarely crowded. I'll even wave at the webcam when I go. (It won't be until Wednesday at the earliest, but meh.)

I knew that that would happen. I'm also going to assume (although, mama told me to never assume) that you can get a KY ID card despite the fact that you don't really 'live' there. College student isn't the same as living there, if anyone gets 'cute' on me.

If I wanted, I could register to vote in Boyle County. I had damn well better be able to get an ID here.

That means that I could have done the same thing in Decatur County, IA when I was there for college. Heh.

Seriously, it usually works out to having to get an ID in your state of LEGAL residence.
