hopefulnebulaEverything in Strasbourg is going well. Went to Paris last weekend. Very Parisian. Also very large, loud, touristy and kind of smelly. But of the 25 of us, nobody got lost (easily an improvement on my performance last time), injured (except for various blisters and a twisted ankle [also not me, yay!]), or mugged. I wish I could say nobody got robbed, but come ON--30 Euro for a small meal? Highway robbery, I tell you.
Also, it's the World Cup of Rugby going on now, and I had to transfer once at the nearest stop to the stadium. God, that was a mistake. Between the crowds and the drunken Italian fans (I know from the uniforms and the national anthem) and the smell... just... gah. Though I suppose it's a good thing there was so much alcohol around, since that'll kill most of the stuff that'd grow in the other liquids getting left around the station.
Nuss' class is shaping up to be my favorite. He's a total hardass and very meticulous and all, but he's great. The class is great but it's going to kick my ass. (Great. I've discovered my inner academic masochist.)
Anyway, I really just posted to share today's Two Lumps. I'm pissing myself laughing over here, and I've got people staring at me weird. The dangers of theone two-room schoolhouse. (OK, it's four if you count the lounge and the office, but really only the classroom and the computer room count as academic.) Either way, the comic is fucking brilliant, especially for those of us who like cat macros.
