Dude. A fucking tabletop just fell on top of my legs. Said tabletop is supporting my computer and two others, as well as various and sundry other stuff (books and a couple CDs, etc.) The legs on my side just gave out. And I was alone in the room so I could either lift the table or replace the legs, but not both at once. I'm fine. It's just that this happens disturbingly frequently (not just to me, though).

The problem is, that table's a piece of shit.

Ouch. It's good to hear that you are okay. I would suggest (the obvious) of getting a new table ASAP. If you are lucky enough to know anyone who does woodwork, they might make you a sturdier table for cheap.

Good luck getting Centre to replace the table. I'm not even sure it's Centre's; it might belong to the landlord. In which case you need *really* good luck. I'm fine, though. Not even a bruise.

Oh my gosh, where did this happen?! If it was anywhere at school, I'd bitch until I was hoarse! Glad you're OK, though.... now go get some ice for those lovely bruises you'll end up with.

Oh, it was in school. Not sure whether the school owns the table or the landlord does (the study-abroad program here is a bit weird that way), but I'm fine. No bruises, even. The school knows about it; that's about all I can do.
