Look on the bright side: it's close enough for a good outcome, so don't start making your Hail to the Thief! placard just yet.
But this could take a couple of days, and it could be inconclusive (it looks to me like there are only 20-odd EC votes left to be won, which would either give Bush a win or allow Kerry to take a draw, or at least keep Bush from reaching the necessary 270 for a win - and it looks, according to the BBC, like those remaining states favour the Democrats). Supreme Court decision, anyone?

Yeah, that's just... ugh. Reminds me of the time that AZ elected Mecham as governor. Sorry. My brain hurts. I'd go back to bed, but I'm already at work, and that would be a bit difficult to explain. :P

Nope. That race was much closer, thank whatever god or gods exist (or not). I'm talking about the 75% of voters who said that passing an amendment that would not only disallow same-sex marriages but also that allowing *any* unmarried couples hospital visitation or access to emergency services (including unmarried women who are being abused and need to file a restraining order before their beau kills them) is a good idea.

O....M....G!!! *boggle* *boggle* *boggle* Well, um, I guess, in a way, this might be a good sign, sort of, since the Fundies are finally showing some logical reasoning ability. If gays shouldn't visit their loved ones in the hospital because Homosexuality is a Sin(tm), then neither should hetero fornicators/ adulterers/divorcees.

I think I liked them a lot better when they were illogical. =/

OK, I'll stop whinging now, since I at least live in a blue state. Speaking of which, I've never understood this blue/red thing... if *we're* supposed to be the Commie bastards, how come *they* get red on the map? So unfair! =P
