Keep in mind I've only been to a lot of these in passing. Like Illinois. Been to O'Hare more often than I care to count but I've only left the airport once, and I was maybe nine months old at the time. Haven't been to New England since 1993. I need to go west more.

You weren't kidding! You've got a much clearer line than I do.

I'm desperate to see the Pacific Northwest. Would love to see Washington and Oregon and the Dakotas. Actually, I can't think of a State that I wouldn't at least like to see once.

Yeah. In all fairness, a lot of the western half of the line (Colorado to... um... St. Louis is where I think we split off) is interstate 25. Only time we've driven anywhere that's more than a day away was visiting my aunt out here when I was 5. I remember how flat Kansas was and how cool the sunrise and sunset were to watch from the car.

Oh, I never even thought of how spectacular that must be on a totally flat horizon! Guess I need to go to Kansas, too. :)

And my line up the Eastern seaboard is also just driving and stopping in each state as we went.

Yeah, it's almost as pretty as a Denver sunrise. If it's winter or spring and there's snow on the mountains and it's clear out except for some clouds in the west, it's just amazing to look west and see the play of colors on the clouds and mountains.

Of course, the reason I know that is because my sister had to be at school (which happened to be 45 minutes away) at 7:45 and it was west of home.
