hopefulnebulaWell. I knew I'd forgotten something. About halfway through rehearsal (which went fairly well, btw), I realized that I'd missed my voice lesson. Oh well... I quit caring about Voice about halfway through the term. It's just not worth it to pay for lessons with someone who gives extremely vague instructions and gets pissed off when I'm unable to follow them, and STILL THINKS I'M A FUCKING SOPRANO. At least I made it to the studio class. Suffice to say I'm not taking that next term.
Oh. Today's random quote comes from Patrick (aka the prof. of the directing class which is running the one-acts). There's a scene where I slap a guy upside the head, right? We've been working with various ways to block that (slapping him, shoving him, whacking him, etc). Anyway, Patrick audited rehearsal today and we asked for a little advice. After about twenty (I'm serious) slaps, he says "OK, you have to enjoy slapping Ben. That's why he's here." I can't wait for CentreTerm... Taking Storytelling with him is going to rock.
Going to dinner now. Back later. Not feeling very IM-ish today for some reason.
