I'll get to this as well as finishing the last meme I posted *sheepish grin* as soon as I finish petsitting and then dinner.  (Neighbors are in Rome for a week visiting their daughter and grandson.  I'm feeding their cat and making sure their pipes don't explode.)

Well, I think it'd be "fais-moi un dessin," but meh.

Don't be put off by the fact that it's in JPG format... I only used another program to save because BMPs are so bulky.

For some reason I remember "Faites-moi un dessin" from Le Petit Prince...but yeah, "faites" doesn't seem to fit. Je-fais, tu-fais, il-fait, nous-faisons, vous-faites...right? So I'm just using the polite tense, even though I know you in the familiar? Hmm...yeah. Ah well.

Why would pipes explode? Something to do with the cold weather, I guess, but wouldn't it be seasonal weather thus pipes are designed to withstand normal winter conditions?

Well, it's unavoidable, really. Water condenses (as do the pipes) as it freezes, and it expands faster than the pipes as it melts. It's usually only a problem when people who leave their house for any length of time turn the heat off but not the water (not an issue here as they have a cat who has to stay unfrozen) or drafty houses. Their basement tends to freeze up so I always check on it, just to make sure.
