Well.  The comp people say that the entire keyboard needs to be replaced.  As it can take over a week for them to get it, we're waiting until summer unless I can find one online for cheap and a friend to help install it without voiding the warranty.

Remember what I suggested about a cheap USB keyboard to do until then?
It's a pain in the ass, I know. But it's the best you can do to get you through the next six months. Hell, if you're lucky, there's a PS/2 port on the back of your laptop and you might be able to scrounge a regular one.

Physically installing laptop keyboards is tricky, if you can get one. And you will void the warranty.
Go for the twenty buck stopgap and sit tight, OK?

Wish I could but I can't... close to zero desk space and it's not even close enough to deep enough for a second keyboard. Shame. This would be really cool. So would this if I could afford it.
