Update from the aunt/uncle's house...
Aug. 5th, 2005 12:23 pmWell. Bunch of stuff has been going on lately.
Went bowling with Dre yesterday. Very muchly fun, even though I'm way out of practice. I used to be really good, too. Can't wait to see her again. On the way back from the bus stop, I found this dog. Looked like she was part collie. She had a collar and tags and everything (her name, it turns out, was Abby) and she was absolutely soaking wet. Since it had stopped raining quite a while before, she must have been wandering around for a while. Her owners lived just down the street and were very happy to see her back.
Peter Forsberg is going to be playing for Philadelphia. :( While I like the Flyers (quite a lot, actually... they seem to be the eastern conference equivalent of my Avs) I'm gonna miss him. Least we still have Hedjuk and will hopefully keep Aebischer (who is quite possibly the sexiest hockey player ever.)
*mental note: make an Avs icon*
Mom and Pete were talking politics yesterday and Olivia decided to chime in with "Bush is an idiot!" (OK, it was more like "bush a idiot" but the sentiment is the same. Now, knowing her extended family (on both sides), she could have learned that from a lot of people. I'm kind of torn between pride and dissappointment. I mean, if it were "I love Bush!" I'd be pissed at whoever taught her that for indoctrinating her. And it's like me when I was that age. My parents taught me to say "Harvard" when they asked what college I wanted to go to. One of those cute little things, you know? When they told me about it later, though, I didn't think of it as cute; I thought I had no choice in the matter. So I'm a bit worried that this story will be for her what mine was for me.
Lori's cat has learned how to be nice. It's amazing.
I won third place at
legible_icons this week. :D I was really proud of this icon, too.

Baby's awake. back later.
